We would be delighted to have your child join our dental practice. We enjoy treating children and we look forward to making the visit pleasant for you and your child.
During the visit, your child will meet our dental team. According to age and ability, we will obtain necessary x-rays, clean your child's teeth, and check for decay. I will carefully examine your child's mouth, teeth, and gums and then talk with both of you about the visit. We will make follow-up appointments for future care if necessary.
In general, we encourage parents to relax in our reception room during their child’s visit. This helps us develop a one-on-one relationship of trust and cooperation with your child.
It is best if you refrain from using words around your child that might cause unnecessary fear, such as needle, pull, drill or hurt. The office makes a practice of using words that convey the same message but are pleasant and non-frightening to the child. Please ask for replacement words before your visit.
